Progressive Insurance® and Hello Alice have teamed up to launch a new grant program aimed at supporting small business owners across the United States. The Driving Small Business Forward grant program will award 20 recipients with a $50,000 grant each to be used towards the purchase of a commercial vehicle for their business.
Karen Bailo, Commercial Lines President at Progressive Insurance, expressed the company's commitment to empowering small business owners through this initiative, stating, "As a purpose-led company, Progressive is committed to empowering small business owners on their entrepreneurial journey and to alleviate economic barriers."
The grant program is designed to provide access to funding and resources for entrepreneurs who often rely on personal savings to fund their businesses. By partnering with Hello Alice, a fintech organization assisting small businesses in accessing capital, Progressive aims to make a significant impact on the success of these businesses.
Recipients of the grant will not only receive financial support but also have the opportunity to participate in Boost Camp, a business coaching program offered by Hello Alice. This program focuses on essential concepts for business growth, including financial budgeting, funding strategies, and sales techniques.
Small business owners interested in applying for the grant must meet specific criteria, including being the leading executive of a business with 10 or fewer employees and less than $5 million in annual gross revenue. The deadline for applications is June 14, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. ET. Applications will be reviewed by a committee, and recipients will be announced in August.
