Adroit General Agency and Nationwide have announced a new partnership aimed at providing workers’ compensation insurance and services to mid-sized employers operating in high-risk industries. This collaboration comes as Nationwide seeks to expand its presence in the workers’ compensation market by partnering with managing general agencies (MGAs) that specialize in niche segments.
Adroit, established in 2021, focuses on offering workers’ compensation solutions to businesses in sectors such as construction, energy, recycling, alternative energy, agriculture, and transportation. These industries are susceptible to high-severity losses that can lead to costly claims. Adroit's approach involves individual account underwriting coupled with loss control and claims services designed to mitigate accidents and injuries.
Marguerite Dixen, the founder and CEO of Adroit, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Nationwide, stating, “We’re excited about teaming with Nationwide to bring high quality workers’ compensation insurance from an industry leader to our growing clientele across the U.S. It is truly a win-win-win for both our firms as well as for businesses with a history of high-severity exposures.”
Dale Hoppe, Vice President of Workers’ Compensation Programs at Nationwide, also shared his excitement about the collaboration. He mentioned, “As Nationwide continues to look for new opportunities to grow in workers comp programs, Adroit’s proven ability to transform the risk profiles of these insureds is a great fit for us. We look forward to bringing a unique and comprehensive workers’ compensation solutions to middle market clients faced with complex exposures.”
