Marion High School junior and CSA Arts Academy student Caroline Russell earned first place in the solo competition at the Midwest Showcase show choir competition at Huntington North High School last weekend.
Russell bested more than 40 other students in the solo competition, most from schools with much larger show choir programs.
She was also named Outstanding Performer for the 26th Street Innovations’ performance during the group competition.
Three other MHS singers, Libby Miller, senior, Shaylee Vermilion, senior / CSA Arts Academy, and Zoey Wayman, freshman, placed in the top 15 in the solo competition.
Also performing with the show choir at the competition were Abigail Ndow, sophomore, and Kendal Vetor, junior.
The Innovations’ performance drew raves from the crowd. Congratulations to all of these performers!
