Indiana Chamber of Commerce  issued the following announcement on Mar 25.

STAR Financial Bank has promoted Kate Miller, CTFA, to President of the Private Advisory division and Erika Dornseif, CTFA, to the role of senior vice president of Trust.

Miller, who joined STAR in 2014, received both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Masters in Science of Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame.

She takes over for Keith Davis, who has filled the role for the organization since 2005.

“Kate’s years in public accounting and related experience in hedge fund compliance prepared her well,” said Davis. “Her spirit and heart allow her to understand the needs of families and individuals planning for the future. I look forward to seeing the next generation of growth for the STAR Wealth Management team.”

Miller serves as a director on the development committee at the University of St. Francis and is the board of director’s chair at the YWCA of Northeast Indiana, in addition to serving on the board of directors for Erin’s House for Grieving Children and for Kate’s Kart. She is also a winner of Fort Wayne Business Weekly’s Forty Under 40 award.

Dornseif is a senior trust officer with STAR Wealth Management. In this capacity, she is the primary client contact for trust accounts in northern Indiana and is responsible for handling estate administration and fiduciary accounts. Erika joined STAR in 2001 after five years with a national financial services firm with offices in Fort Wayne.

She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. She serves on the board of directors for the Jorgenson YMCA in Fort Wayne.

STAR Financial Bank, headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is committed to delivering quality financial expertise and distinctive banking solutions to exceed customer expectations. In addition, STAR Private Advisory offers private banking, investment and fiduciary services. STAR has grown to nearly $3 billion in assets with locations across central and northeast Indiana.
