Sponsored Content -- When Isaac King was in desperate need of an additional car and the funds to pay for it, he found both by working with Uber.
King, who resides in Chicago, learned about the opportunity to work for Uber through a chat with a friend who also works for the company.
"I found out about Uber actually through a friend who was already driving and he was making a recommendation to me as he was sharing how much he was making over the weekend," King said.
King, who worked full-time at his previous job, needed an additional vehicle to commute to work as he shared one with his wife, who also required a vehicle to accomplish necessary tasks during the day.
Upon seeing his friend's income, King realized that working for Uber was the career path he needed to take in order to achieve his goals.
"I could buy a car with what he's making on the weekend," King said. "I could do that, so I decided that I would drive so that I could purchase a car and replace my previous income by driving with Uber."
After passing the first screening procedure to join, he discovered that Uber had a partner program with vehicle dealerships.
Not only was he able to purchase a Toyota Camry, he was also able to finance the vehicle with the assistance of the dealership.
King is now able to work more hours and days as an Uber driver, something he was unable to do at his former job.
"I drive part time," King said. "Anywhere between 20 and 30 hours a week."
He also praised the Uber app's flexibility, adding that he could activate it and easily find trips along routes he was already traveling while completing other tasks.
King's current driving schedule, which ranges from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. or midnight on Tuesdays through Thursdays, also enables him to spend more time with his family.
