DashMart, a DoorDash delivery service that brings convenience store products to customer doors, has arrived in Tucson.

"DoorDash's selection of Tucson is a great fit given our City of Gastronomy designation and unique regional flavor and cuisine," said Tucson Mayor Regina Romero said in a DoorDash announcement released Oct. 1. "Our local, small businesses have an incredible opportunity to partner with this new service to sell their products."

DoorDash has expanded its partnerships with area restaurants in communities across the country Tucson will be one of 12 mid-sized markets for the company's DashMart concept, according to the announcement.

DoorDash also has expanded its merchant partnerships, which means Tucson area residents can expect service from national brands, such as the Cheesecake Factory, in addition to local favorites such as Cartel Coffee Lab and Nom’s Bake Shop. Both eateries have chosen DashMart to sell menu items, including cheesecake slices, coffee beans and baked treats, according to the announcement.

"DashMart is an entirely new channel for local businesses to reach customers online, transforming how our merchant partners can sell their retail products," Andrew Ladd, director of new verticals for DoorDash, said in an Oct. 1 announcement.

DashMart is actively seeking local Tucson restaurants and retailers to become merchant partners in the concept.

"Local restaurants can choose DashMart to sell their fan-favorite menu items, offering them another avenue for growth," Ladd said in the announcement. "In addition, DashMart enables new types of local retailers to sell their products on DoorDash."

DashMart, which the DoorDash announcement described as "a new type of convenience store," offers household essentials and restaurant favorites delivered to customer doorsteps.

"DashMart offers thousands of convenience, grocery, and restaurant items, from ice cream and chips, to cough medicine and dog food, to spice rubs and packaged desserts from local restaurants consumers love," the announcement said.

DashMart stores are owned, operated and curated by DoorDash.
