The billion-dollar investment advisor company, Smead Capital Management, is slated to move its corporate headquarters to Phoenix on July 1.

“Smead Capital Management’s headquarters relocation to Greater Phoenix is indicative of the value investment firms find in the region’s ability to help companies grow, deliver top talent, provide impactful connections and infrastructure needed for a global financial services firm to thrive,” Chris Camacho, president and CEO at Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), said in a press release from the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. “Smead’s entry into Greater Phoenix will bring a number of high-wage jobs at a critical time. We welcome them to the region.”

Smead has headquarters in London and Pennsylvania and chose Pheonix for its quality of life, talent and for Sky Harbor international. The international Airport allows them better access to global and domestic financial markets.

“We manage money and seek to pick stocks to benefit from the divergence between what stock market participants think and what is the truth,” Bill Smead, Smead chief investment officer, said in the GPEC press release. “Now, our people, investment discipline, communication, and business travel are by way of Phoenix.”

Smead has been managing investments and mutual funds since 2007. More information on their business and services can be found on their website or by calling 1-877-701-2883.
