The Town of Queen Creek will continue to celebrate National Park and Recreation Month throughout July with special events and activities as part of the "A Lifetime of Discovery" promotion.
The Town has hosted several events as part of the promotion including a luau party at the town's Splash Pad complete with fire dancing demonstrations. It will also host an ice cream social on July 21 at the Recreation Center, where town staff will be on hand to share information and answer questions.
Also on July 21, residents will be able to register for the Queen Creek recreation program. The recreational program includes activities such as dancing, Zumba, adult sand volleyball, sportsball and various sports for kids.
National Park and Recreation Month, which is an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association, is designed to celebrate recreation and its impact on communities.
