Sovereign Health, a national provider of behavioral health treatment services, has teamed up with Argosy University to provide students in doctoral programs at Argosy' Phoenix campus with the opportunity to obtain hands-on experience to complete the clinical training needed to graduate and to become practitioners.

Under the partnership, students will complete a yearlong practicum, working 16 to 24 hours per week caring for patients as Sovereign Health interns. The Argosy students will guide patients through individual and group therapy sessions while serving as their patients' primary clinician.

"Argosy's College of Counseling, Psychology and Social Sciences is developing future leaders in the mental health treatment community, and Sovereign is proud to provide the clinical development and educational environment they need."

Monica Powers, Sovereign Health's director of clinical development, said Sovereign is excited to work with Argosy for practicum internships for doctoral study.
