The Center for Creative Leadership (CLC) and Phoenix-based Apollo Education Group have launched Frontline Leader Impact,  an online training program designed to meet leadership development needs of first-level managers.

According to CCL data, almost 60 percent of first-time managers say their top challenges include learning how to manage others and how to display authority.

“We know a large portion of all leaders across most organizations are frontline managers, which makes developing that group mission critical for many companies,” Mary Abraham, director of digital learning products at CCL, said. “In traditional training models, providing leadership training to those managers was cost prohibitive. Now we can offer companies a high-quality, flexible and affordable option.”

The six-week online class teaches frontline leaders the key competencies of effective leadership, such as self-awareness, , influencing outcomes, communication and motivating others.

"To engage today’s modern worker and drive real behavior change, learning needs a new set of tools built for the changing way we work, tools that are available on demand, more social and connected to our jobs," Josh Painter, vice president of product at Apollo Education Group, said. “Our accelerator course experience delivers a leadership development experience that has been completely reimagined for the digital age. We are excited to partner with CCL to better serve organizations developing their frontline managers.”
