EPCOR Water USA received the Water Project of the Year award from the Arizona Water Association (AWA) last week for its $1.9 million, mile-long pipeline that brings water to the West Valley of Phoenix.

The company is also celebrating 17 other AWA awards for its safety and overall operations related to treatment, distribution, collection and reclamation.

"We're honored to be recognized by Arizona's water-industry leaders for our achievements in safety and operational excellence," EPCOR President Joe Gysel said. "Our mission is to be a company whose employees go home to their families safely after work. These achievements recognize not only what we're doing for our colleagues, but also how we're positively impacting our neighbors and the customers we serve."

EPCOR Water USA is a subsidiary of the Alberta, Canada-based company EPCOR.
