Following the U.S. Senate's confirmation of Arielle Roth as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information, the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) has issued a statement. Roth will lead the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and oversee the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program.

Joe Kane, ITIF’s director of broadband and spectrum policy, expressed congratulations to Roth on her new role. "We congratulate Assistant Secretary Roth on her confirmation at a critical time for NTIA," he stated. Kane emphasized the importance of Roth's leadership in addressing the digital divide through the BEAD program.

Roth is also expected to play a significant role in spectrum policy as the United States aims to improve commercial spectrum capacity and national security while maintaining American leadership at the International Telecommunication Union.
