The Cincinnati Regional Chamber has announced the return of its Storefronts to the Forefront initiative, in partnership with Duke Energy and The Huntington National Bank. This program aims to enhance the visibility of small businesses in the region by providing seven $5,000 grants to existing storefront businesses across various neighborhoods in Ohio and Kentucky.
The initiative, now in its fourth year, will distribute these grants to businesses located in East End, Montgomery, Northgate, St. Bernard, and West End in Ohio, as well as Covington and Falmouth in Kentucky. These funds are intended for capital improvements, marketing support, expansion investments, or other growth-related efforts.
A marketing program led by the Cincinnati Regional Chamber will promote each district's business through various media channels. The first neighborhood to be featured is Falmouth, KY. "Small businesses like those we recognize in our Storefronts to the Forefront initiative serve their communities and create a vibrant, prosperous region where everyone belongs each and every day," stated Brendon Cull, president & CEO of the Cincinnati Regional Chamber.
Amy Spiller from Duke Energy expressed pride in being a founding partner of the program: “Lifting up the small businesses in local communities that make our region a great place to live, work and play is a critical part of the work we do at Duke Energy.”
Tony Johnson from Huntington emphasized their commitment: “At Huntington...Storefronts to the Forefront spotlights the people – the entrepreneurs — who make this sector flourish.”
