Following the confirmation of Olivia Trusty as a Commissioner for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) has issued a statement. The ITIF, recognized as a leading think tank in science and technology policy, expressed its approval through Joe Kane, who is the director of broadband and spectrum policy.

"We congratulate Olivia on her confirmation and welcome her deep experience and expertise on communications policy," said Kane. He emphasized that with a quorum now established at the FCC, there is an opportunity to focus on policies beneficial to consumers. These include productive spectrum use, broadband adoption, and expanding the space economy.

Kane suggested that by prioritizing these areas instead of engaging in "partisan sideshows like content regulation and ungermane merger conditions," the FCC can help maintain U.S. leadership in connectivity.

Contact information for further inquiries was provided as Austin Slater via email.
