Seventy-nine percent of Generation Z recognizes the importance of community service, a sentiment echoed by young leaders like Abrianna Morales. At the TIME100 Impact Dinner, The Allstate Foundation honored Morales with the inaugural Young Changemaker Award.
Morales is an advocate for survivors of sexual assault and founded the Sexual Assault Youth Support Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young survivors. Her efforts extend to elevating youth leadership in victim services. Recently named a 2025 Rhodes Scholar, Morales plans to pursue research at the University of Oxford in philosophy, politics, and economics to further her advocacy work.
Since 2023, Morales has participated in The Allstate Foundation’s youth empowerment program. She has attended partner meetings, contributed to research reports, and co-edited publications. Earlier this year, she led a workshop at SXSW EDU.
“I’m thankful for this award and urge other youth to use their incredible imagination and skills to serve their communities,” Morales stated. “Youth are always envisioning a better world, and organizations like The Allstate Foundation are uniquely positioned to give young people the tools needed to make that vision a reality.”
Alex Quian, head of youth empowerment at The Allstate Foundation, commented on the value of supporting young changemakers: “We are committed to supporting Abrianna’s and other young leaders’ journeys to inspire even more youth across the country to serve their communities.”
With sixty-two percent of Gen Z believing they can change the world—an estimated 42 million youths—The Allstate Foundation continues its mission nationwide by equipping young people with necessary resources.
The Allstate Foundation was established in 1952 and focuses on empowering communities through philanthropy that addresses nonprofit needs. Their initiatives include disrupting relationship abuse cycles and increasing access to thriving-wage careers.
