Bioptimus, a French artificial intelligence startup, has announced the availability of its AI model H-optimus-1 on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. This development enables healthcare and life sciences organizations to deploy Bioptimus's pathology model within their secure cloud environments.
The AI model, released in March 2025, is designed for histopathology and trained on millions of whole-slide pathology images. It aims to enhance performance in various diagnostic and research tasks such as cancer subtype classification, tumor grading, biomarker detection, and quality control of digital slides. The AWS Marketplace listing allows commercial and academic partners to integrate this model into their AWS-based workflows efficiently.
AWS Marketplace serves as a digital catalog that simplifies the process for organizations to discover, test, purchase, and deploy software running on AWS. Customers benefit from simplified billing and the ability to launch directly into their cloud infrastructure while ensuring security and scalability.
H-optimus-1 represents a significant advancement in digital pathology but is part of Bioptimus's larger plan. The company is working on a multi-modal foundation model for biology that will incorporate genomics, molecular data, medical imaging, and clinical records. This ambitious platform aims to facilitate breakthroughs across biomedical and industrial applications. The next model in this series, M-optimus, is expected to be released later this year.
