The City of Peoria has approved the construction of Desert Harbor Medical Commons, a 44,000 square-foot healthcare facility designed to meet the city's growing needs for accessible healthcare within driving distance. In addition to standard healthcare services, this high-tech facility will include the capability for some of the leading and most innovative healthcare treatments in the nation, according to a city press release.

In addition to providing the region with accessible healthcare and industry-leading treatments, Desert Harbor Medical Commons is also expected to provide the region with large job growth and economic stimulus. The approval comes after months of negotiations with the City of Peoria and planning with various agencies within the local government to ensure the proper flow of traffic around the large facility.

This facility will be developed by Irgens, which is still working closely with the city and will continue to do so through the construction date set to start in 2021.
