Rep. Bob Heaton (R-Terre Haute) urges veterans and companies throughout Indiana to join the INvet's next-generation website.

INvets offers a list of free resources for veterans to find the most current information about job openings available in health care, logistics, manufacturing and tech and other high-demand industries throughout Indiana, according to a press release from the Indiana House of Representatives Republican Caucus

Heaton said that the program provides details about the jobs and skill requirements for the position. Listings also provide links that offer the training, credentials or degrees needed for the job.

"Our military veterans have abilities and a work ethic that any business could benefit from," Heaton said in the press release. "Despite the pandemic, there are still thousands of Hoosier jobs available in growing industries, and INvets is a great resource in connecting them with our heroes who served."

Heaton highlighted that when military members leave the service, almost 50% are unemployed. According to Heaton, businesses are beginning to resume operations after closure and reduced production due to COVID-19. In Indiana, there are over 100,000 in-demand jobs available throughout the state.
