A free program has been launched to help small businesses throughout Indiana create an online presence.

Northeast Indiana lawmakers are encouraging entrepreneurs to join Project HOPE, the brainchild of the Indiana Small Business Development Center.

“Turning to online sales and communication can be daunting at first, but with the right tools it can be a critical part of your business model,” Rep. Ben Smaltz (R-Auburn) said in a press release published on the Indiana House Republicans’ website. “As Hoosiers use the internet to complete their shopping or find services, it is more important than ever for small businesses to stake out their digital territory.”

The ISBDC is also partnering with the Indiana University Kelley School of Business to provide long-term guidance for Hoosier small businesses and entrepreneurs as they bounce back from the economic downturn brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Expanding online is a great way to market your products or services to a broader audience, and differentiate yourself while building relationships with new customers,” Rep. David Abbott (R-Rome City) said in the release.
