Indiana’s statewide community resource referral agency is now a part of the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration.

Gov. Eric Holcomb said the change will help Hoosiers sift through the many state and community services available to address their needs.

“By connecting the resources of FSSA with the versatility of Indiana 211, we can offer Hoosiers great government service,” Holcomb said in a press release from his office. “We will connect them with what they need, when they need it with this 24 hours a day, seven days a week hotline.”

Indiana 211 is a free service that Hoosiers can use to connect them quickly and confidentially with thousands of health and human service resources. Joining the FSSA gives residents more help in finding a service they are looking for.

Dr. Jennifer Sullivan said the ultimate goal is to support all Hoosiers’ health and well-being, according to the press release.

“They need a simple front door to walk through to receive any service or program we offer without delay – and if we don’t offer it, a way to be connected to it,” she said in the press release.
