PHOENIX — Local business leaders and former Greater Phoenix Chamber ATHENA Award recipients Michelle Just and Mi-Ai Parrish spoke on leadership, mentoring and community service at a recent Professional Women's Alliance luncheon hosted by the Chamber.
Just, who serves as Beatitudes Campus CEO and Parrish, the founder and CEO of MAP Strategies Group, spoke to Alliance luncheon attendees regarding the pillars centered on the ATHENA Award.
“I learned at a very young age to not be afraid to hire people that are smarter than you,” Just said during the luncheon's fireside chat. “You’re not going to know it all, you’re never going to know it all."
Speaking on community service, Just and Parrish both encouraged the attendees to find their passion.
“If you get invited to different events, pay attention to the message,” Just told attendees. “And if your heartstrings are being pulled, take notice. Find what drives your passion and get involved.”
The Chamber's ATHENA Awards program honors the achievements of businesswomen throughout the Greater Phoenix area and recognizes women who have shown excellence in professional leadership, community service and mentoring of future leaders.
