May is Building Safety Awareness Month across the Yuma, and in line with this, permit techs from across Yuma County’s Department of Community Development have been challenged to join a statewide food drive through the “NAIL” hunger program.
NAIL, which stands for “No Area Is Left (Hungry), allows competitors to vie for “the coveted Golden Hammer Award and bragging rights for an entire year.
The County’s Building Safety division will work in stocking the Yuma Community Food Bank.
You can drop off non-perishable food item donations to the Community Development Office on the City Hall’s second floor, up the stairwell from the historic Endurance Flight exhibit, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. every other Friday.
