Caliber and it subsidiaries have embarked on a renovation project that will transform a nearly 45-year-old off-campus apartment community near Grand Canyon University (GCU) into a gated community with resort-style amenities.
Phase One of the 164-unit apartment complex renovation project of the GC Square Apartments near GCU in Phoenix will be complete next month. Leasing for 80 units of student housing is now underway.
According to Caliber, the GC Square apartments will feature outdoor and indoor amenities including a clubhouse with a resort-style pool and spa. Amenities will also include large HDTVs, a workout room, a laundry center, a business center, pet-friendly wash stations, barbecue grills, an outdoor fire pit and a movie theater.
“GC Square Apartments will help satisfy the demand for a modern, trendy and safe community where students can study, socialize and relax within moments from campus,” Caliber Executive Vice President Roy Bade said in a press release. “It’s truly incredible what GCU has achieved – the growth and quality of students. We are proud to play a small role in the surrounding neighborhood revitalization efforts.”
Pricing for the units starts at $995 per month for a furnished unit. Leasing for the remaining 84 units is slated for March.
Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly indicated the GC Square Apartments development was part of Grand Canyon University. Grand Canyon University is in no way affiliated with Caliber Companies or GC Square Apartments. This has been corrected.
