The Buckeye Fire Medical Rescue Department will host a community focus group this month to inform residents about the department’s current work and services.
The upcoming focus group will allow residents to learn about the services the department’s personnel provides to the city. Residents will have an opportunity to meet with fire department personnel and share and receive information about the department’s service delivery, according to an announcement.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Coyote Branch Library, 21699 W. Yuma Road. The focus group will include a formal presentation followed by an open discussion, which will include an opportunity for residents to fill out written surveys regarding the department’s service delivery.
The Buckeye fire department provides fire and advanced life-support care for the city and includes six fire stations and about 88 staff positions. The Fire Medical Rescue Department is a member of the valleywide Automatic Aid Consortium, which is a nationally recognized dispatch computer system that offers automatic vehicle locators. This system helps insure that the closest unit with the correct resources will respond and automatically accesses all of the fire resources from the Phoenix area.
