The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) recently announced 11 area women as finalists for the 30th annual ATHENA Awards.

Nominees are selected for their contributions to regional business, leadership skills, community support and support of fellow female entrepreneurs, according to a chamber announcement. This year’s finalists comprise three categories: private sector, public sector and young professionals.

“We have an amazing group of finalists this year representing the absolute best of our region in not only achieving success for themselves and their companies, but also mentoring others along the way,” GPCC President and CEO Todd Sanders said in a press release. “Congratulations to all of our 30th Anniversary ATHENA Awards finalists.”

Private sector finalists include Susan Anable, Cox Communications; Roopali Desai, Coppersmith Brockelman PCL; Judith Dworkin, Sacks Tierney P.A.; and Mi-Ai Parrish, Republic Media.

Public Sector finalists are Colleen Jennings-Roggensack, ASU Gammage; Michelle Just, Beatitudes Campus; Jodi Liggett, Planned Parenthood Arizona; and Kate Wells, Children’s Museum of Phoenix.

Young Professional finalists consist of Michelle Donati-Grayman, AAA Arizona; Drena Kusari-Berisha, Lyft; and Jenny Poon, CO+HOOTS.

The three awards recipients will be revealed at the 30th annual ATHENA awards luncheon Oct. 27 in Scottsdale.
