President Donald Trump recently highlighted Arizona golf equipment company PING during a day he deemed Made in America Day to celebrate manufacturers in the United States.

“Your drivers are very good,” Trump told the PING representative at the Made in America expo in Washington, D.C., Monday, according to a press release.

The White House named PING the Arizona representative for the event, as it is one of the most prominent manufacturers in the state, the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry reported. The company was among other U.S. manufacturers chosen from all 50 states to represent their respective territory.

The family-owned and -operated company has been making its golf accessories in Arizona for over 56 years. It was founded when engineer Karsten Solheim created a putter that improved his golf game.

“At PING, our team loves manufacturing great products in America—some of the world’s best performing, custom engineered, custom fit, and custom built golf equipment," Dawn Grove, corporate counsel for Karsten Manufacturing Corp., PING’s parent company, said in a press release. "We appreciate our congressional and executive leaders taking time to see and touch American made products. We feel incredibly honored to be chosen to represent Arizona manufacturing at the Made in America event."

In an effort to encourage domestic manufacturing, Trump signed a proclamation declaring July 17 as Made in America Day and July 16-22 as Made in America Week.
