Surprise Aquatic Center will host a Fourth of July poolside celebration featuring crafts, games and more.
The event opens at 6 p.m. and ends after the fireworks show at approximately 8:30 p.m. The city of Sunrise's pool party will feature crafts, games, music, swimming and raffle prizes at the center, 15831 N. Bullard Ave.
The event is limited to 400 Surprise residents, according to a press release. The tickets cost $6 and are available in advance. Tickets can be purchased at the aquatic center or the Surprise Community and Recreation Services office at 15960 N. Bullard Ave.
The pool will also be open from noon to 5 p.m. July 4.
Additionally, baseball fans can enjoy the Fourth of July Rookie League matchup at the Surprise Stadium at 15930 N. Bullard Ave. The game will feature the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers. The game begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the city-sponsored fireworks show. Admission to the game is free.
