A trio of Arizona real estate professionals received honors at the recent 2017 Realtor Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo, where Realtors met with government officials about public policy’s effect on residential and commercial consumers.

Lisa Paffrath of Flagstaff, Marge Lindsay of Phoenix and Lisa Suarez of Tucson attended the summit in Washington, DC. Paffrath earned her Masters of Real Estate from Realtor University, and Lindsay and Suarez were inducted into the National Association of Realtors Political Action Committee Hall of Fame for their respective support.

“Paffrath experienced a best-in-class online education with practical skills that can elevate her business,” the Arizona Association of Realtors said in a press release.

Along with other attendees, the three met with Federal Political Coordinators (FPCs) on Capitol Hill, including House and Senate representatives, to discuss government policies and choices that impact individuals’ and businesses’ capability to buy, own, rent and/or sell real estate.

“Our FPCs spend many hours working with (state association) staff to make sure our delegates have an opportunity to spend time with our elected officials to bring forward the issues we are facing at home and nationally,” attendee Emmy Simpson said. “This year, our talking points included flood insurance, tax reform, and protecting sustainable homeownership.”
