Tucson’s Pascua Yaqui Tribe-owned Casino Del Sol recently received its sixth consecutive Four Diamond Rating from AAA in a nod to its service, style and guest comfort.
Less than 6 percent of the nation’s nearly 28,000 AAA-approved hotels receive this designation, according to the organization. This year, AAA said that only 1,615 facilities made this list.
"AAA is pleased to recognize Casino Del Sol for earning the Four Diamond Rating," Michael Petrone, director for AAA Inspections and Diamond Ratings, said in an announcement. "To maintain the exceptional standards required for this rating is an outstanding achievement. AAA Four Diamond establishments consistently deliver memorable travel and dining experiences."
Pascua Yaqui personnel operate various businesses in addition to Casino del Sol. Tribe members numbers are close to 20,000 in the southwest metropolitan Tucson region.
Classified by U.S. News & World Report as one of Arizona’s best hotels, the Casino del Sol hotel is the state’s only Forbes Four Star and AAA Four Diamond casino resort. In addition to accommodations, it provides gaming, entertainment, recreation and dining choices; a spa and pool; catering and meeting facilities; and event space, all against the backdrop of the Sonoran Desert.
"This rating acknowledges the hard work and dedication of our staff," Kim Van Amburg, CEO of Casino Del Sol, said in the announcement. "We are committed to exceeding guest expectations and providing a premier entertainment experience to everyone who walks through the doors."
