Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) recently introduced enhanced parking system features designed to make finding a parking spot easier at the airport's busy grounds.

New features include prepaid parking discounts, “Find-A-Spot” web tool, economy parking alternatives and free motorist assistance, according to a Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce press release.

Prepaid discount parking is available online, saving travelers both time and money. By using this program, drivers can park in a terminal garage close to their gate destination at a reduced cost, typically 40 percent cheaper, according to the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce.

By going online to “Find-A-Spot,” consumers can use the tool to steer them to the optimal parking based on which airline they are flying, price range and convenience.

The airport offers over 21,000 parking spaces.

Economy parking is available in East Economy, the Terminal 2 Garage and West Economy Park. 

In addition, the staff and PHX can help motorists with a flat tire or locating their vehicle, according to the release.
