Over 20 firms from a range of industries will take part in the city of Avondale's job fair May 11.

The job fair will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 11465 W. Civic Center Drive.

Avondale is hosting the event in conjunction with Goodwill Industries of Central Arizona. Jobseekers planning to attend should bring several copies of their resume and be ready to meet with local employers, according to a press release from the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Representatives businesses from the retail, food service, warehouse, production work, government, health care and caregiving industries will be available to meet with jobseekers.

Goodwill Industries regularly supports career development programs, operating over 18 different career centers in central Arizona—including the Valley, Prescott and Yuma—to provide job preparation and placement services for job hunters and employers seeking to establish connections.
