The Arizona Association for Economic Development recently posted an article on its website about the efforts the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) and it plans for the Phoenix area.
The GPEC plans to pull in new businesses and "create a high-performance economy through capital investments and jobs" for the 23 communities in the area, the article said.
GPEC latest campaign, "The Connected Place," puts emphasis on the internet of things, "where objects send and receive data, learn from it, and respond," the article said.
GPEC is hoping to lead internet and technological innovation for the area to "compete and thrive in today's global economy," the article said.
