The race entry fee is $20, and entrants are invited to make additional contributions for a chance to run with a shelter dog. Race participants will also have adoption fees waived should they choose to take a shelter pet home on the day of the event.
“TMC has been a tremendous partner with PACC, and they always support our mission to build a compassionate and healthy community for people and pets,”Justin Gallick, director of community engagement at Pima Animal Care Center said in the release. “This run will help keep our deserving pets healthy while they wait for (a) forever home.”
The course will follow a picturesque path through Christopher Columbus Park and around Silverbell Lake. The run is untimed.
The race will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will be followed by the Girls on the Run 5K at 8:30 a.m. and the Southern Arizona Roadrunners Kidz 1 mile Fun Run at 9:30 a.m..
