Arizona State University is proud to host two artistic events to celebrate Black History Month on the West campus.

The events will be held through Feb. 23 from noon to 5 p.m.

The first is "The Collection: Artworks by African American Artists from the Valley of the Sun," featuring paintings, sculptures and other works by African-American artists from the Phoenix area, including Valerie Fair, Kris Rhymes, Jackie Muhammad and Lowaunz Farrow.

The second event, Stage West, will feature the “Permanent Collection," a play by Thomas Gibbons. This event is an “Itheatre Collaborative” and presents events at an art store owned by an African-American.
