A coalition of Arizona business leaders visited Washington, D.C. after the presidential election to meet with U.S. Chamber of Commerce leaders to learn more about what to expect under a Donald Trump presidency.

“There really wasn’t a better time to do this trip than immediately after this year’s presidential election,” Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Todd Sanders said. “Our job is to help Arizona business leaders succeed with actionable information on issues that move our state forward. Bringing them face-to-face with Arizona’s congressional delegation, senators and the Trump transition team was an ideal way to achieve that goal.”

The delegation, part of the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce’s annual Executive Dialogue Delegation, participated in policy briefings about trade agreements, transportation, the economy and other key issues.

Trump transition team employee Scott Mason answered questions and discussed some of the president-elect's priorities, such as uniting the GOP caucus and repealing the Affordable Care Act.

Mason said the president-elect wants to ensure that current trade agreements such as NAFTA, are structured to provide the greatest benefit to the country's economy.
