The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce recently chose 20 local companies to be finalists for the 29th annual IMPACT Awards.

Leaders at the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce recently chose 20 local companies to be finalists for the 29th annual IMPACT Awards.

The purpose of the award is to recognize small, large and nonprofit businesses for their accomplishments and positive effects on the local economy and business community.

“The IMPACT Awards recognize the contributions of Arizona-based companies and solidify Greater Phoenix’s reputation as an outstanding place to do business,” Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Director of Community Relations Janelle Tassart said. “All of the 2016 IMPACT Award finalists and nominees are extraordinary organizations that make a significant and lasting contribution to the local economy and to the community.”

The small/medium business category finalists, businesses with a maximum of 250 employees, include The Dhaba/India Plaza, Danzeisen Dairy, Brain Injury Alliance of Arizona, Goettl Air Conditioning, Dircks Moving & Logistics, RDS Electric, Melrose Pharmacy and Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences.

The large business category finalists, businesses with over 250 employees, include Caliber Companies, Cox Communications, Copperpoint Insurance Companies, DPR Construction, WebPT Inc., Sonora Quest Laboratories, The Weitz Company and the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona University.

IMPACT Awards winners will be announced in May.

“The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor the innovation, achievement and leadership of the valley’s exemplary small, large and nonprofit organizations and the huge impact they have made on the business community,” Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce CEO Todd Sanders said. “It’s this entrepreneurial spirit that drives Arizona forward, and we are privileged to honor them for their dedicated commitment to positively impacting the Greater Phoenix business community.”
