The Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) will convene an open meeting directly after a scheduled 10 a.m. swearing in ceremony on Tuesday in Hearing Room One at the ACC, 1200 W. Washington St. in Phoenix.

The meeting will open with election of a new chairman, followed by issues on the chairman’s proposed consent agenda as well as a public comment period at designated intervals.

Proposed consent agenda matters consist of an application from Union Pacific Railroad Company for upgrades in Tucson; an application for expansion of Boomerang Wireless LLC’s service area; and a commission inquiry into modifications concerning its own holding companies.

Additionally, utility matters include two applications for partial waiver of tariff rules by Morenci Water & Electric Company, and Ajo Improvement Company; a request for document amendment by Graham County Electric Cooperative Inc.; and valuation of Arizona Water Company’s plant and property. Finally on the consent agenda is a request for a rate increase by Parker Lakeview Estates Homeowner’s Association Inc., doing business as Parker Springs Water Company.

On the regular agenda, four additional water companies’ applications for assessment and/or rate changes will be discussed. The companies include Truxton Canyon Water Company Inc.; BN Leasing Corporation, doing business as Aubrey Water Company; Arroyo Water Company Inc.; and Management Systems LLC, doing business as Jake’s Corner Water System.

Johnson Utilities LLC also submitted an application for fee changes, and Tucson Electric Power Company submitted an application for its 2016 Energy Efficiency Implementation Plan as well as a waiver.

Sunzia Transmission LLC has applied for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility to construct transmission lines and facilities for a new substation running between Lincoln County, New Mexico and Pinal County, Arizona. 

The agenda stipulates that the last item will not be heard before 1 p.m.
