In an effort to support local economic prospects, Southside and Benson Highway corridor residents may be eligible for federal funding assistance through a federal initiative called the Brownfields Program.

The Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers (AACHC) recently said that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a Healthy Communities Grant Program that was formed to work with communities to decrease environmental risks and advance the health of humans and overall quality of life. 

Arizonans can raise a glass to drinking-water improvements, wastewater infrastructure and diminished water pollution, courtesy of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) recent allocation of $25 million for the state’s Water Infrastructure Finance Authority (WIFA).

Plan calls for state to reduce CO2 emissions by 34 percent from 2012 levels by 2030.
